I'm 16, I'm 5'6 and I weigh 131 lbs. I made a personal goal to lose weight. I run the mile in 9 min. and I jog on a trampoline for 30 min each night then I do as many crunches as I can (right now) which is about 38- 48. Then I do pushups, thigh exercises and I stretch. I eat pretty good. I try to avoid fried foods and soda. I was wanting to know if this will be effective for my age. I just wanted to lose ten pounds and be fit again like I was in the summer when I weighed 119. Will this be a good plan? Thanks everybody. =D

My advice is don't try to kill yourself over it, since you're 16 you probably don't have any income and will usually have to eat what your parents provide, so just wait till you're making income to be able to cook for yourself, to be able to buy the foods you need. It'll be a lot easier.

131 sounds like a good weight too. But if you feel you're healthier and more happier with your appearance at 119 then, yes your plan sounds like an effective way to lose the few extra pounds you wanna lose (:

Running is one of the best things you can do for your body, it burns lots of calories and will tone every part of your body, so try running more. Your on the right track trying to eat right, stick with it and you'll get there!

I would say you should go for about 125 pounds and 135 pounds when you are 20 years old. Step up the exercise a bit.
