Exercise for one hour four- five days a week eg. swim, go gym, aerobics class, jog, cycle, hike aim for three serving of veg and three servings of fruit 3 meals a day of equal size and snacks when your hungry last meal at least four hours before bed 1/ 3 of your meal should be fruit or veg for breakfast have lots of fruit like watermelon or pineapple with cereal and milk, wholegrain toast with topping like beans, egg, chopped avocado, peanut butter and banana or a scone lunch can be a sandwich, bagel, roll, wrap with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and either tuna or ham or cheese(no butter or mayo) and a yogurt or fruit. a balanced dinner contains carbs( potato, brown rice) protein(meat, eggs, beans) and half plate of veg or salad. make veg soup because it super healthy drink 6-8 glasses of water and a little fruit juice and herbal tea snack on salad, raw veg sticks eg.peppers and celery with a jar of hummus or salsa, fruit, yogurt, nuts and choc biscuits sometimes |

The portion sizes, how much to eat, servings, all depend on your age and weight. Cold water is fine. You should space your meals out into 6 smaller meals rather than 3 big ones. 1. Daily cardiovascular exercise, 20-60 minutes 2. And a healthy nutrition. |

36 ounces a day for water min 3-4 servings of veggies - about 1 cup each 2-3 fresh fruit servings (1 banana, 1 apple, 1 orange is a serving) breakfast is a must - lean protien and veggies snack - 1 piece of fruit & nuts lunch lean protein and veggies snack 1 peice of fruit & nuts dinner lean protein and veggies snack 1 piece of fruit & nuts portion control: your lean protien should only be about the size of your fist. You can eat as many veggies and fruit as you wish - NO portion control on those!! cold water will reduce headaches, protien helps you feel fuller longer than sugar, and veggies are great vitaman sources and good fiber. |

I would say as a rule, no more than you can habitually sustain. You aren't going to give up sugar forever right? Keep small amounts of that in there too, or you'll shock yourself and your body. Here's a site about the food pyramid diet. mayoclinic.com/ health/ healthy-diet/ NU00190 |

One big rule is not to eat in the evening and to always eat a good breakfast. 8 cups of water or at least 6. How much you eat depends on your weight and height because not everyone needs the same amount. You shouldn't drink any water or liquids with your meals. An hour after eating is ok to drink, and 30 minutes before eating. Fruits and vegetables are not fattening so eat a good amount. |

Http:/ / mypyramid.gov/ visit the above website. i personally used this tool and it helps. select My Pyramid Plan from the links on the left to get started. it will tell you how many calories a day to eat depending on your physical makeup and weight loss goal and then breaks it down into servings of grains veggies proteins etc. once you do that just browse everything else. there's even a tool to create meal plans. good luck! and stay away from diet sodas. they're diet saboteurs. |
